I omitted an important item about CrossFit Endurance in my previous post - Training Philosophies - Competing Ideas About Intensity and Volume.
I listed 3 key areas that the CrossFit Endurance program addresses as priorities that other forms of training either address inadequately or not at all. They were general fitness, technique, and base running speed. I should have also included diet. The CrossFit Endurance program includes the concepts of the Paleolithic Diet and the Zone Diet.
I've never tried the Zone Diet because it is a lot of work to implement, but I am a big fan of the Paleolithic Diet. I've experienced great results using the Paleolithic Diet, and I've seen great results in others who have implemented the diet.
